good enough for flashcards , but too basic . doesn't look that nice either . and if you want to study the same deck of cards more than once in a day , you have to make a specialized study deck .
very clunky and not user friendly. The website told me I had to use the windows program to edit cards but when I downloaded that program there was no where to log in to see my cards.
After the new update the intervals of some of my new cards got messed up. If it becomes scheduled for 1 day(good button) the next day it became 2 days(hard) 14 days(good) 1 month (easy). The setting are on default mode. And i restored to default once more just to make sure but the huge jump of interval is still there. If fixed i will change to 5 stars.
How do I undo an import? I didn't know it would erase all my decks. I thought it would just import the decks. Why does it work like this? Barely any warning at all that this will completely undo every single piece of progress I've made on every single deck that I had on this app. Edit: The warning is incredibly vague. It just says a collection will be erased if I import. I thought I was importing a single deck, not erasing the entire collection I had.
Very useful app! Some improvements would be advised though. First, pls make the support of GIFs. Second, it would be perfect if it would be possible to import new vocabulary with other types of files like .doc, xlsx.

I downloaded flashcards for USMLE having a size 2GB and am not able to add the file to anki
It is the best srs app out there for sure, but it still has flaws. I wish the app was more user friendly. Recently I've had a few synchronization issues and I noticed the estimated time for the decks suddenly doesn't work anymore. It's always at 0 minutes. I don't know why this happened but it bugs me a little.
CHROMEBOOK USERS: AnkiDroid is not supported on the latest ChromeOS builds (96 ), and as you can see from their response, the devs have no plans to continue supporting the CB userbase. (A shame, as I have donated to their tip jar, fully understanding such continued development is not free for a "free" app.) If you need to use AnkiDroid for your studies, you will need to use an Android phone or tablet, or use the paid iOS (and related Apple) versions instead.
Top class, it definitely deliver what promises. Good to learn anything, specially languages..

Not again ! Anki has serious issues , whenever I try to upload photo from gallery ..it crashes. Getting completely frustrated
It's so helpful to be able to make flashcards with full latex support on your computer, and then be able to review the flashcards throughout the day on your phone Also you can share your decks and download decks from other people
Anki is without a doubt a great app for learning pretty much everything. BUT , i wish it had more leeway with making texts bolded , underlined , colored , etc.. That's going to make it so much more better since you have more customizations with cards and whatnot , not to mention , you'll be able to more efficiently memorize certain words in a note that are important because you can bold and colourize it. I hope that in the near future I'll be so much more content with this app and give it a 5
Leaving another review to respond to developers: your sync may only take several minutes, but mine takes hours. I have the same number of cards as you do. I started another sync around 6pm yesterday and I received a notification saying it was finally done at 10:29pm. However, there was also an error message stating that media failed to sync. Therefore, this is not "on the contrary" as you suggest. I've never had a support team try to prove me wrong rather than help address the issue.
One of the best apps IN THE WORLD. This app has helped me so much in remembering stuff and has boosted my grades. Its such a simple and easy app to use and is not time consuming at all. I would 100% recommend to anyone talking A-levels or any other degrees. I do Biology and Chemistry which are some of the most difficult subjecst to take for A- level. If it wasnt for Anki then I wouldnt failed my A-levels. I want to say thank you to the creater of this marvellous and extraordinary app. 🙌🙌😍
Hello again, Thank you for the fast response. But i tried looking to the backups and somehow i couldn't find it sadly. I think there should be mini tutorial for first time users and a warning so that the user is aware of what might happen if anki or the user encounter some problems.
Definitely a dated interface that isn't intuitive. I probably haven't used it enough to review it in depth, but dump the music on your introduction tutorial. It's louder than the instructors voice. Besides, Jazz is a bad choice, as its complexity is especially distracting.

I don't know what happened but whenever I add a image in my deck and after that when I click “Show Answer" it shows me wrong image even though that image that is already deleted at my phone. I already update the app still nothing happened. Please fix this
Lots has been written about the power of "SRS" software for language learning. If you're looking for an app to spoonfeed you bits and bobs of a language to impress your friends, then this probably isn't it. But if you're serious about learning and willing to put the work in, SRS can be a powerful tool. Ankidroid itself works smoothly and is customisable to meet your needs, so there's no reason not to give it a try!
It's ruined my cards schedule. Thankgod I had made a major backup. Be careful! Learned and review Cards under V2 scheduler randomize differently to the v2 scheduler on the desktop version. Also the desktop version buries sibling review card until the start of new day (for me 7 am) but the Ankidroid buries sibling review cards for 24 hours no matter what time you set for the new day to start. Which sucks for people who like to do some reviews in the morning and late at night before going to sleep
Very useful. New users can encounter some problems, but once we get used to the app, it is almost perfect. Thank you !

Very good, my grades went from ~6/10 to ~8/10 when I started using this, also learned the basics of a new language and a lot of random facts with almost 0 effort.
Every time I go to card browser, all card names I see are "hahaha". Please fix this issue!
Open it up and nothing makes sense at all. I went on the *manual* and RESEARCHED how to use FLASH CARDS. It's still only the *iceberg* with the worlds most unintuitive app. Mb. Skimmed over the literally 100 subsections of the manual and the dev is salty? Don't use this without desktop and don't use this for simplicity. It's awesome that it's free and has a million features but it shouldn't have come at the cost of "view full deck" "separate deck" and a clear UI with explanations.
Literally got me continuing to learn vocabulary that I normally would have given up on ages ago. Often needs a few tweaks that seem quite complex.
I have serious issues with RTL Persian language specifically when I have to mix some LTR languages or when I need Cloze note type! I think an app like this which is used for learning different languages, basic duty is support RTL & LTR languages in all different mix uses, and ankidroid fail.
It is really fantastic but it couldn't open cards like once in blue moon. That's what make it a little worse. However I would like to say thanks significantly to developer for creating such amazing application
This is the best app I have ever found as a medical student and I regret why I haven't known about this app earlier. I'm giving review after using it for almost 3 months because this app make feel confident that I remembered what I learned and even if I forget something this app makes me revise and remember it. Anki is a terrific platform that has helped me tremendously over the years in med school. However, the Android app has always been the one with most problems but at least performance didn't suffer. Since the last update I have been getting performance issues a lot. It takes a second to show the answer, it doesn't do it at once. I had issues with syncing but it resolved. Sometimes the app straight up freezes. It would be appreciated if this got fixed...
The basics are there but it's tough to use and doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I can access my deck because it's not sheduled for the day. I can see a all the cards in a 'editing' mode and it's very unintuitive.

I have ankiuniversal in my pc but then I couldn't sync it to ankidroid using ankiweb since it says server aborted. It would be great if I could sync it using one drive but how? I would change my review if you could help me with this
I never review an app, but this one, I have to. My congratulations to the people behind it, this sets the bar really high for any other developer out there. A really good idea, executed superbly and without any unnecessary bits, with all the dials needed for any user to personalise and configure as they like. No ads, no subscription, no payments. Just wow. Well done!
Used to be qiite good but stopped working with my cards telling me to edit a data field that I cant find. Update: Problem solved thanks to quick response to this review and now back to the way it was.
This is a great app but can you please make the button bigger? Based on what I read it also might be possible to hide some sections of the cards (e.g. I just want the meaning and no broad description of the type of word it is) but I havent figured out how to do this yet.
